PETALING JAYA: Malaysian junior squash player Ng Eain Yow put up a valiant effort against Peru’s Diego Elias in the semi-final of the World Junior Championships in Eindhoven, Holland.

But in the end, the gulf in class was just too much for Eain Yow to handle. The 17-year-old, making his first semi-final appearance at the World meet, fell to defending champion Elias who powered to an 11-4, 11-1, 11-2 win.

Eain Yow deserves credit for keeping his spirits up and playing an entertaining match, even celebrating after getting his first point on the board after trailing 10-0 in the second set on Wednesday.
